Update: Police have arrested the man who escaped from the Brantford Courthouse on Thursday.
BRANTFORD - Brantford Police have arrested a man who escaped police custody at the Brantford Courthouse.
Police say 31 year old Daniel Lee McCue was mistakenly released from custody on Thursday night. He was arrested on Friday afternoon in Ancaster. McCue was caught during a traffic stop and police used a high risk take down to arrest him. No details have been released as to how he managed to escape from the courthouse on Thursday night. An internal investigation into the matter has been launched. McCue is now facing charges for impersonation with intent and escaping custody.
