An abandoned house is under police watch after a pair of fires this week. Woodstock Police say the fires are suspicious. The latest happened last night, around 8:30. Fire crews were able to put it out with ease. On Tuesday night this week, around 8:40 there was a small fire set on the second floor of the house. It's at the corner of Lansdowne and Devonshire and has been sitting vacant for a couple of years a failed proposal to level the homes in favour of a Rexall Pharmacy. City council wouldn't change the zoning on the property. Some fire training exercises that were done on the property contributed to the house's demise. City Hall Officials say they have no information on who currently owns the property. The previous stakeholders, Forecast Inc., went bankrupt. Police say they're investigating the suspicious fires.
