Police have released the name of the pedestrian killed in Simcoe on Thursday afternoon.
SIMCOE - Police have released the name of the woman killed during a crash in Simcoe.
68 year old Jane Mary Thomson was pronounced deceased at the scene after the crash on Thursday afternoon on South Drive. Police say she was walking on the sidewalk when she collided with a pickup truck reversing from a driveway on South Drive. The 83 year old driver of the truck was not injured.
An investigation is ongoing and police have brought in the Technical Traffic Collision Investigators to assist with the investigation. South Drive between John Street and Kent Street South was closed for approximately 4 hours to allow for investigation.
