Police Briefs: Includes impaired driving and a man caught with a loaded gun in Ingersoll.
A 22 year old from Putnam is facing several charges after police say they found a loaded gun in his car while driving through Ingersoll.
Oxford OPP stopped Andrew Avey on Friday morning on Samnah Crescent.
After a quick search of the vehicle police say they found the firearm in the front seat of his vehicle.
Avey has been charged under the Fish and Wildlife Act with unlawfully have loaded firearm in conveyance and resident hunt wildlife without a licence.
Meanwhile in Woodstock police have handed out a few impaired charges.
A 23 year old from Brantford was pulled over last Sunday around 3 a.m. in the area of Cedar Street and Norwich Avenue.
Police say they pulled over the Ford Mustang after noticing it was driving in an unsafe manner and the officer detected alcohol on the drivers breath.
Aaron Ferraccioli was arrested at the scene and charged with impaired driving and driving over the legal limit.
He will answer to his charges in Woodstock court.
Then on Wednesday Woodstock Police were called after a citizen spotted an erratic driver on Devonshire Avenue.
After investigating police arrested 24 year old Andrew Mannen of Woodstock and charged him with Impaired driving and driving over the legal limit.
