The Woodstock Navy Vets celebrated a win and suffered a loss over the weekend.
PJHL - It was a busy weekend for Oxford County's Junior C hockey teams.
The Woodstock Navy Vets doubled the Wellesley Applejacks 4-2 on Friday, but they also suffered a 4-3 overtime loss to the Tavistock Braves on Saturday.
The Braves beat the Hespeler Shamrocks 5-2 on Friday.
The Norwich Merchants suffered two losses over the weekend; 5-4 to the New Hamburg Firebirds on Friday and 3-2 to the Applejacks on Saturday.
The Navy Vets are still on top of the Doherty Division standings with 51 points, only one point ahead of the New Hamburg Firebirds. The Braves are in third place with 38 points, and the Merchants are in fourth place with 32 points.
Meanwhile in the Yeck Division, the Thamesford Trojans demolished the Exeter Hawks 8-1 on Friday and beat the Lucan Irish 3-1 yesterday.
The Trojans are tied with the North Middlesex Stars for second place in the division standings with 47 points each. The Mount Brydges Bulldogs are in first place with 50 points.
