The Friendly Ghost Costume Stop will be in Woodstock on October 4th and Ingersoll on October 10th.
WOODSTOCK/INGERSOLL - The Friendly Ghost Costume Stop is back for another year and it's going to be bigger and better than ever!
Families will be able to stop by Cowan Park from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. tomorrow to look through a collection of donated Halloween costumes.
Sarah Allen started this initiative 15 years ago, back when her kids were little.
"My son had a Thomas the Tank Engine costume and I thought he's only going to wear this once, why don't we reuse this costume? It just kind of evolved from there."
She adds all of the costumes are free of cost, and they have all sizes ranging from babies to adults
"I don't care what you have in your bank account, whether you have $5 or $5 million. Costumes are expensive so we want to reuse the costumes and it's good for the environment as well. So there's no restrictions and we don't ask for any money."
The Friendly Ghost Costume Stop will also have an Ingersoll location for the first time this year. It will be located in the Ingersoll Public Library on Friday October 10th, which happens to be a PA day for most students. It will be open from 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. that day.
Both locations will have a make your own costume station, so you can create something completely unique.
Those looking to support the cause can donate a new or gently used costume at the Woodstock Little Caesars, Jax Jungle Gym in Woodstock, or the Ingersoll Public Library. Businesses can also donate door prizes for the raffles they have on site.
