Students in Oxford County and beyond will be encouraged to wear pink today in order to stand up to bullying.
CANADA - Don't forget to wear your favourite pink shirt today.
Today is Pink Shirt Day. The global initiative was started by a couple of students in Nova Scotia in 2007. They got everyone to wear pink after a Grade 9 student was bullied for wearing a pink shirt. The day has been marked every year since.
Local school boards are encouraging all students and staff to wear pink today.
