Police have charged a 33-year-old from Waterloo with a list of offenses after a pickup truck hit a motorcyclist on Dundas Street Friday night.
WOODSTOCK - A motorcyclist had to be taken to a London hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries after they were struck by a pickup truck in the Friendly City.
A Woodstock Police officer witnessed the crash in the area of Dundas Street and Clark Street shortly after 8:00 p.m. on Friday. They say the Toyota Tundra was trying to make a left turn into a plaza and hit the westbound motorcyclist in the process. The motorcyclist was thrown off the bike and the truck driver fled the scene.
The truck driver was later arrested in a nearby store. A 33-year-old from Waterloo has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, failing to stop at the scene of a collision, driving while under suspension, and operating without insurance.
