The Paris Central Public School is looking to win the Aviva Community Fund Project to build a new playground.
PARIS - The Paris Central Public School is in desperate need of a new playground.
They have entered the Aviva Community Fund Project with the hopes of winning the $50,000 grant to purchase some new equipment. Parent Volunteer Christina Speers the playground has been deteriorating over the past couple of decades.
"This money can go towards fixing the baseball and basketball areas, long jump and putting in proper grass and zoning most importantly for these particular events because what they are having to do now is share it."
Speers says a new playground would mean the world to these kids.
"It would mean that they can play together again effectively, it would mean that they can have those spaces, where if they don't want to play, if they want a quiet time of reflection, they can have it, those are things that some kids need as well that they are not able to get at this time. They would be able to play basketball again and share the space more effectively with each other."
You can vote for Paris Central Public School a maximum 18 times until Thursday online here.
