Two Ingersoll residents face serious charges, 10-year-old boy left in critical condition
It's a lengthy list of charges for an Ingersoll man and woman, after a young boy was hit by a car while riding his bike Friday night.
It happened on Wexford Ave. in London's east end, at around 7PM Friday.
London Police say the driver fled the scene without stopping to offer assistance. Police allege the driver to be 34-year-old Toby Van Lieshout of Ingersoll. He's been charged with leaving the scene of an accident causing bodily harm, possession of a controlled substance, driving while suspended, careless driving and driving with a plate not authorized for a vehicle.
The owner of the vehicle, 39-year-old Rebecca Van Lieshout has been charged with being an accessory after the fact, assaulting police, possession of a controlled substance, not having insurance and permitting an unlicensed person to drive her vehicle.
The boy remains in hospital, and remains in critical condition.
