A high speed pursuit ends with the OPP Canine Unit and ERT locating the suspects hiding out in the bushes.
OXFORD COUNTY -- A pair of Norfolk County men are facing a long list of charges after an early morning chase with police.
OPP say a pickup truck was stolen from a residence on Ostrander Road early Monday morning. The suspects were towing the stolen truck with another pickup, with one person in each of the vehicles.
Oxford OPP spotted the culprits shortly after 2:00 am at which time a pursuit ensued. The two travelled at a high rate of speed which resulted in the towed truck crashing into the lead truck causing them to break free.
The suspect jumped from the stolen pickup and jumped into the lead truck at which time they sped away. Police called off the pursuit but continued a ground search of the area.
The OPP Canine Unit and Emergency Response Team eventually located the suspects hiding in a bush area north of where the stolen truck was abandoned.
