Former NHL Coach Ted Nolan will be in Woodstock to talk about his book.
WOODSTOCK - Tickets are now available for this year's Oxford Reads Gala.
Ted Nolan will be at the Market Centre Theatre in Woodstock on Friday November 7th to talk about his book titled Life in Two Worlds: A Coach's Journey from the Reserve to the NHL and Back.
Sarah Adam, a system support librarian with the Oxford County Library, says there has been a lot of buzz around this author coming to town.
"He is an NHL coach and he grew up on a reserve so his book is about perseverance, identity, and some of the things he faced in his life growing up, particularly what he saw in the NHL."
She says the gala will be hosted by Sarah Acchione and former Heart FM News Director Chris McMillan.
"They will both be sitting down with Ted at the Market Centre Theatre. So you can meet and greet with Ted after the event, hear from him, hear about his memoir, and he'll do a short reading from the book."
Tickets for the Oxford Reads Gala are free, but you have to book your spot through Eventbrite online here in advance. Spots are limited, so it's better to sign up sooner rather than later if you're interested.
There are several other Oxford Reads events scheduled leading up to the Gala including paint nights, sponsors skates, drum making workshops, and traditional book clubs. Those who are interested can visit the Oxford Reads website for more information.
