Oxford OPP Make Arrest for Impaired Driving at R.I.D.E Program

The officers were conducting the R.I.D.E check on Plank Line early Saturday morning when the driver, who appeared to be impaired, approached the stop. 

TILLSONBURG - Oxford OPP has charged a Tillsonburg driver after a R.I.D.E Program in South-West Oxford Township.  

The officers were conducting the R.I.D.E check on Plank Line early Saturday morning. Around 12:30 a.m., the driver, who appeared to be impaired, approached the stop. 

A roadside test was taken and concluded that the driver had alcohol in their system.  

19-year-old Victoria Baczewski was arrested and transported to the local OPP detachment for further testing. She was charged with: 

  • Operation While Impaired 
  • Operation While Impaired with a Blood Alcohol Concentration 80+ 
  • Adult Novice Driver - Blood Alcohol Content Above Zero 
  • Adult Young Driver - Blood Alcohol Content Above Zero 

Baczewski is scheduled to appear in court in Woodstock at a later date.
