Oxford LTC Homes Receiving Provincial Funding

Four long-term care homes in Oxford County will be getting a combined total of $613,440 from the province.

OXFORD COUNTY - That's $613,440 for long-term care homes in Oxford County.

MPP Ernie Hardeman made the announcement this morning, with four long-term care homes benefitting from the Ford Government's Local Priorities Fund.

"This funding is an important part of caring for the most vulnerable people in our communities."

Woodingford Lodge will receive the largest cheque, with $449,120 benefitting its three locations in Woodstock, Ingersoll, and Tillsonburg.

Maple Manor in Tillsonburg will get $112,871, while peopleCare in Tavistock will receive $37,636. Secord Trails Community in Ingersoll will be getting the smallest cheque worth $13,813.

The money will help the long-term care homes purchase IV equipment, bariatrics equipment, bed supports, bladder scanners, and ECGs. Minister of Long-Term Care Stan Cho says it will also help them purchase everyday items like slip-proof floor mats, wrap-around bed rails, and grab bars.

"Our government is continuing to take action to ensure long-term care residents across Ontario get the right care in the right place. This funding will expand specialized staffing, equipment, and other services at homes across the province so long-term care residents with complex needs can connect to the care they need, when and where they need it."
