WOODSTOCK - The Oxford County Animal Rescue is hosting their annual Valentines Day Bake Sale on Saturday February 13th. The bake sale will be running from 9am-2pm at their office located at 885 Nellis Street in Woodstock. Anna Holmes, the Foster Co-ordinator with the animal rescue says the proceeds from this bake sale will go towards the vet bills for the animals in their care.
"All of the animals that come into our rescue are spayed and neutered. They all get their first vaccinations, dewormed, flea treated and dogs are also micro chipped".
Those who attend the sale will also get to check out some of the adorable cats and kittens they have available for adoption. Holmes tells Heart FM about some of the felines in their care.
"We got a lot of cats and kittens for sure. It seems to be the season has it us a little earlier than it normally does. We've got a mom with some babies, a lot of adult cats that need to be re-homed and we've got a mom waiting for babies to come".
There will also be lots of people who volunteer with the animal rescue at the bake sale as well. Holmes says this is a great oppertunity for people to find out how they can help.
"We have people there that can speak to you about volunteering in other capacities with us as well. We desparatly need foster homes. We can't take any animals unless we have a foster available for them. So come in and check it out, speak to us and see what we are all about".
