The Major Bantam (U14) girls season started off with a bang Sunday night. The new squad used excellent defensive pressure to create turnovers, enabling them to fast break to a 33-19 final score against the St. Thomas Shock. Defensively, the Attack girls had a good game with 6 steals and 22 rebounds.The Attack had 7 different players provide scoring while shooting 60 percent against the Shock. Dawn McDowell ended the game with 5 points, 1 blocked shot and 10 rebounds. Sammie Olson scored 11 points to lead the way offensively. Four new girls to the OBA (Ontario Basketball Association) handled themselves very well in their first game. Next match up for the girls is a tournament in Cambridge, December 15th at Southwood Secondary School. The Attack girls game times are 9am, 12 and 1:30pm
