Helping feed those with a limited income is the goal at a free BBQ.
WOODSTOCK - The Global Charitable Organization Rapid Relief's local chapter has teamed up with Operation Sharing once again.
The two groups are hosting their second free BBQ. The two organizations felt the need for the BBQ after already hosting one. Eric Schmiedl outlines the reach of the first event.
"The first one was in August and we got approximately 75 people who turned out, and I'm putting out more feelers this time so I'm hoping for more."
Schmiedl explained who the BBQ is aimed to serve.
"We are doing it for people with limited incomes, people that don't have a lot of money, we are putting on a lunch for them, to benefit them."
It's happening on Friday November 3rd from 11:30am to 12:30pm at the College Avenue Unit Church parking lot.
