Improvements to the Parkinson Road Fire Station means a temporary change in burn permit application process
WOODSTOCK - Construction crews are hard at work on Parkinson Road, building a new addition for the fire station.
If you're looking to hand in an open air burn permit application, Public Information Coordinator Lisa Woods says you should go elsewhere.
"We just kind of reached a point here where it's difficult for the public to get in to see us and so we are just asking if you have any open air burn applications or anything we direct you down to City Hall to leave them and they can get brought out to us from there."
Woods says they will take it from there, the next steps in the process will be.
"They (applications) will get forwarded and they'll make a contact call to you, to meet you at the property to review the bylaw to issue the permit."
If you are found having a bonfire without the proper permit and paperwork you could face fines as a result.
