An Ontario College of Nurses hearing for Elizabeth Wettlaufer aims to formally revoke her licence today.
UPDATE: The 5 person disciplinary panel for the Ontario College of Nurses has found Elizabeth Wettlaufer guilty of misconduct.
They handed down the verdict this morning calling her conduct unprofessional and disgraceful. The ruling means Wettlaufer will have her nursing license revoked.
TORONTO - The Ontario College of Nurses is holding a formal hearing for former nurse and convicted killer Elizabeth Wettlaufer.
This process is being viewed mainly as a formality as Wettlaufer has already resigned her licence and pleaded guilty to eight counts of first degree murder, four counts of attempted murder, and two counts of aggravated assault during her criminal trial.
The notice of hearing cites professional misconduct between June 2007 and August 2016 in the form of verbal, physical, and emotional abuse with intent to cause harm or death.
A panel will be going through the motions in Toronto today with the hearing slated to start at 9:30 a.m.
Wettlaufer did not make an in person appearance at the hearing today.
