A Perth East resident experienced fraud while trying to sell a vehicle online.
PERTH EAST - Perth County OPP are investigating a report of fraud.
A resident of Perth East who listed their vehicle for sale online started engaging with a potential buyer in another county on August 20th.
The buyer requested money be sent to cover shipping fees.
No personal information was given, but the seller forwarded over $500 as requested.
The seller was contacted again the next day, this time requesting an additional $200, which he did not send.
Perth County OPP would like to remind all residents to be cautious when buying or selling items online.
