All of the proceeds raised at the Norwich TNT Pull this weekend will benefit the Norwich Optimist Club.
NORWICH - The Norwich Optimist Club is ready to host their largest fundraiser - the Norwich TNT Pull.
Multiple trucks and tractors will battle it out on the double track this Friday and Saturday at the Rettie Farm.
Optimist Member Neil Dolson tells Heart FM the Norwich Pull is a great opportunity to get up close and personal with the Ontario Truck and Tractor Pull Association (OTTPA).
"You can walk through the pits, you can have a look at the tractors and you can talk to the pullers they're friendly people and the equipment is just outstanding!"
The OTTPA will kick off the action with their sanctioned pull at 6pm Friday. Spectators will also have the opportunity to have a drink at the beer tent and watch a performance by Paul Nathan Band.
Dolson says there will be no excuse to drink and drive.
"We've got trailer camping for $40 or tent camping for $20. If you need to get home we've got the big yellow taxi - we've got busses laid on and it will drive you home to Burgessville, Norwich and Otterville so you can be safe and the roads can be safe."
The action will continue throughout the day on Saturday with farm tractors and mini pullers scheduled to pull. The family friendly event will also offer multiple prize giveaways and a kid's zone with inflatables.
You can find more information on the Norwich TNT Pull website.
