A Norfolk County woman was driving in Port Dover, when a man abducted her after hiding in the backseat. The woman suffered minor injuries.
NORFOLK COUNTY - Norfolk County OPP are investigating an abduction after responding to call earlier this week.
Police received a call on Monday at approximately 3:54pm from a Port Dover resident, when they learned the incident happened overnight from Sunday to Monday occurring between the hours of 9:30pm and 12:11am.
A woman from Norfolk County was driving her car in the Port Dover area when she was abducted by a man that was hiding in the back seat. The victim was then told to drive to an area and was physically assaulted, resulting in minor injuries.
The Norfolk County OPP Crime Unit is continuing to investigate this incident under the direction of Detective Staff Sergeant Mary Louise Kearns of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.
The OPP reminds all members of the public to be aware of their personal safety at all times and to always check the front and back seats of their vehicle before getting in.
