Norfolk OPP say one individual has died after they were travelling on Teeterville Road on Saturday night when they left the road and went airborne, colliding with a hydro pole.
WINDHAM - Norfolk County OPP are investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Teeterville Road.
The Norfolk County Fire Department and Norfolk County Paramedic Services also arrived on scene last night just before 10 o'clock. Police say a car was travelling southeast on Teeterville Road when the driver left the road and went airborne, colliding with a hydro pole.
The volunteer firefighters on scene were able to remove the driver from the vehicle. The individual had suffered serious life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
OPP Technical Collision Investigators were also on scene and assisted with the investigation. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Teeterville Road was closed between Windham Road 6 and Caroline Street for approximately eight hours to allow for an investigation. The investigation is ongoing and updates will be provided when new information becomes available.
