Four new recruits join the Woodstock Police service after 4 retire including one dog.
WOOODSTOCK - Four new police officers were added to the Woodstock Police force earlier this week. Deputy Chief Daryl Longworth sayd the recruits come from diverse backgrounds and each bring unique and talented skill sets to the service. The hires come as four other members -- along with a police dog -- retired with a combined 104 years of service.
The new officers include:
- Brad Minielly a 10 year police officer with previous experience with the Oxford Community Police Service, RCMP and recently the Ontario Fire Marshall Office
- Robert Barber a University of Western Ontario Special Police Constable with 2 years’ service
- Stephanie Mackinlay, a financial accounts manager with previous experience as an Auxiliary Police Constable with the Brantford Police Service for the past 2 years
- Marco D’Annibale, a local business owner and member of the WPS Auxiliary Unit for the past 2 years.
Recent Retirees include:
- Detective Constable Rick Walker with 40 years of service
- Constable Bob McDonald with 30 years of service
- Constable Jeff Horan with 30 years of service
- K9 Constable Jim Crocock with 30 years of service and with Jim retires his trusted partner Paco after 4 years of service with the K9 unit.
