There will be no zone-specific leaf collection in Tillsonburg. The Town will be going out every week until November 24th and collecting leaves from the curb throughout the entire town.
TILLSONBURG - The Town of Tillsonburg has updated its leaf collection process.
Manager of Public Works, Richard Sparham says they are moving away from the zone-specific pick-up this year.
"What we decided to do, we are going to start it, and we actually just started it this past Tuesday. Our effort depends upon obviously weather, and our ability to get it all done, but to get the entire town every week."
Sparham adds the new process will be a benefit in more than one way.
"We're able to increase this level of service throughout the collection period, but still maintain our budget."
Residents will now be able to rake their leaves to the curb as they fall and have them picked up on the day Town employees make their rounds.
The collection period will run until Friday, November 24th.
