David Coad named President Elect of the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce
WOODSTOCK - There's a new man heading up the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce.
D.W. Coad Financial's David Coad will be taking over as President for the next two years and says he hopes to maintain momentum going forward.
"We've recovered now from the recession financially, but we have also recovered from an activity level as well. We do a lot of things well. You know we have people networking, advocating at all the levels of government. I think going forward that's going to be a huge part of our mandate."
Coad will be taking over the position of President from Ted Beynen.
"I'm excited but I've also got concerns, mostly about doing a good job. I'm following a strong President who follows a strong President (Diane Langer)."
"My one goal would probably be to find something that the Chamber is not going right now of value that we could pass on to our members and possibly pass on to other Chambers. We have done that in the past but I would like to do one for this Chamber."
Coad says the Chamber is also working to become more socially active as well.
