The Music in the Park at Lions Park in Paris, summer concert series has been cancelled for the month of June.
PARIS - The Music in the Park at Lions Park in Paris, summer concert series has been cancelled for the month of June.
Director of Economic Development and Tourism Russell Press says they have made this decision in response to the ongoing pandemic.
“Music in the Park has become an event enjoyed by all ages. The free community event draws residents and nearby area visitors, throughout the summer months, to the County to enjoy local, talented musicians. People gather to enjoy great music at a beautiful venue. This year is certainly different. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and the provincial government and the health authority’s recommendations, we will not be encouraging people to gather. We have made the difficult decision to cancel the concert series for June and we will reassess the situation for July and August as it continues to evolve.”
The summer concert series was scheduled to occur on Thursdays at 6:30 pm, beginning June 4 and ending August 27, 2020. The remaining Music in the Park season, from July 2 to August 27, 2020 will remain scheduled until further notice.
Until then, please help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the community by practicing physical distancing, wearing a face mask and washing your hands regularly.
