London's Mayor is facing some embarrassing antics this hour. Tonight is the first council meeting since Mayor Joe Fontana was charged criminally, and a motion calling on him to step aside while he's under RCMP investigation will be tabled. The meeting will see many public protesters inside and outside London's City Hall. Those outside will be chanting "Time to go, Sloppy Joe," while serving sloppy joe's to those attending the meeting. Inside, members of Occupy London will be flashing red cards like soccer referees, calling for Fontana's ejection. The RCMP charged Fontana with breach of trust by a public officer, fraud under $5,000 and uttering forged documents. The charges are connected to federal funds allegedly used to pay a deposit for his son's wedding reception. Fontana has insisted he will remain in office and not step aside, and has maintained his innocence against the charges.
