Southwestern Public Health has reported 115 measles cases since October 2024.
SWPH - It's the largest measles outbreak Ontario has seen in decades.
Here in the Southwestern Public Health Region, Medical Officer of Health Dr. Ninh Tran says 115 cases of the virus have been reported in Oxford, Elgin and Middlesex since October. He adds that many doctors in the area had never seen the virus up close before, because Canada eliminated the vaccine preventable disease in 1998.
