Elementary school teachers are escalating their protest. They're expanding their so-called "McGuinty Mondays" to now include Tuesdays. For these two days out of their work week, teachers will arrive 30 minutes before school and leave 30-minutes after. They are also refusing to take part in staff meetings on those days, under the advisement of their union, the ETFO. Some teachers have also bailed out of coaching sports teams, and supervising after school clubs at the elementary level. It's in response to the Ontario Government's recently passed law that enforces a wage freeze, and benefit cuts on teachers, while repealing their right to strike.
