WOOSTOCK - A local teen got to spend his 14th birthday as Junior Mayor of Woodstock.
Maximilian Fleming won the opportunity through an auction for the Baby Alex Teddy Bear Drive.
He spent the day with Trevor Birtch yesterday, and had a taste of what it's like to be Mayor. Mayor Trevor Birtch says was happy to show Fleming the ropes.
"I consider it almost like a vacation day. Being able to relinquish the decision making over to a young individual and help inspire them by learning about all of the different services that are availible through the community, through our municipal government."
The Birtch and Fleming stopped by City Hall, the Oxford County Administration Building, the Woodstock Police Station, South Gate Centre and the Heart FM Studio.
When asked if he would consider a political career in the future, Fleming said it's a possibility.
"Yeah I might! Hopefully I can do more, not just in Woodstock but all around the world."
