Union Gas has announced they will be offering lower natural gas rates for their residential customers in the New Year.
Union Gas residents will have some extra change in their pockets in the New Year.
They will be lowering their residential rates for their customers starting on January 1st 2018.
In a press release, Vice President of Business Development, Storage and Transmission Jim Redford says they are happy to provide natural gas to customers at lower rate.
"Now that winter is here, Union Gas customers can expect an affordable and reliable supply of natural gas with no fill-ups needed even in the harshest winter months."
Their clients in Southern Ontario will notice a decrease of about $28 a year, which works about to be about 4 percent of the total natural gas bill. Those in the North West will have $24 taken off their yearly statement, while North Eastern customers will notice a $6 decrease.
With the new changes in effect, the average yearly bill will range between $783 and $1,058.
