It is the chance of a lifetime for Woodstock's Jane Mouland, who will be traveling to Germany to take part in the World Dragon Boat Championship.
WOODSTOCK - It is an opportunity of a lifetime for a Woodstock teen.
Jane Mouland will be traveling to Germany to compete in the 17th International Dragon Boat World Federation World Dragon Boat Championship. Mouland says there are many things she likes about the sport.
"The first thing I'd say is definitely the community around it and the friends that I've built along the way and all the people I've met on all teams. And then I like working out. So, it's very physically demanding. So, I really like that part."
She will leave next Tuesday, and says there are some organizations that need credit.
"First of all, I just want to thank the Rotary Club, the Lions Club and most of all, the Optimist Club of Oxford for making me be able to be here."
The races will begin on July 16th and finish on July 20th, and Mouland will be on either the woman's or mixed team in the Under 18 division. Mouland is raising funds in order to support the trip, and has a GoFundMe set up and you can click here to get to the page.
