Local Real Estate Board Raises Over $6,000 for CMHA Oxford

The Woodstock-Ingersoll and District Real Estate Board has chosen CMHA Oxford as their Charity of Choice for 2019.

WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock-Ingersoll and District Real Estate Board has been raising money all year for charity.

This year they decided to raise funds for the Canadian Mental Health Association of Oxford. President Neil Krushel says this is the first year they decided to select a Charity of Choice, so their donation could have more of an impact.

"We are so happy that we were able to present the Canadian Mental Health Association of Oxford with a cheque at the WIDREB Christmas Party for $6, 315.00; proceeds raised from WIDREB Events and a Grant from the Ontario REALTORS® Care Foundation.” 

WIDREB REALTORS® participate in the Ontario Realtor Care Foundation’s Every Realtor campaign; where WIDREB donates $1.00/member/month, which is collected through their monthly assessment fees and are donated to the Foundation. 

This year, locally they raised $3,715.00 through the Realtors Care Foundation. They were also able to raise additional money through a couple of annual events in 2019, including the Realtor Trade Show and Tech Day, along with the Christmas Party registration.

In total they were able to donate $6,135.000 and they presented the cheque to CMHA Oxford at their annual Christmas party.
