Friday night action for the Midwestern Jr C Hockey League and Southern Ontario Jr Hockey League.
Midwestern Jr C Hockey is back in action in Oxford County Friday night after last weekend's Prospect and All Star Games.
The Woodstock Navy Vets are looking for a fresh start in 2014 after a dismal start to the season in 2013. The Vets are currently last place in the league, sitting two points behind Delhi. With a new coaching staff and forward Justin Elms being named player of the game at the All Star matchup last weekend, the Vets are looking to start off the New Year with a win over New Hamburg when they host the Firebirds tonight. Game time is 7:45 pm at Southwood Arena.
Norwich will host the Wellesley Applejacks Friday night. Puck drops there at 8:00 pm. The Merchants have a hold on fourth place, eight points ahead of Wellesley and five points behind third place New Hamburg.
The Tavistock Braves are home against the Paris Mounties. Start time there is 7:30 pm.
The Burford Bulldogs and Travellers will meet up in Delhi for a 7:30 pm game.
Over in the Southern Ontario Junior Hockey League, the Lucan Irish will travel to Thamesford to face off against Trojans. Game time is 7:30 pm.
