Oxford County will have another AED in the community thanks to some dancing elves and our local paramedics.
WOODSTOCK - Oxford EMS has won the AED4Life's holiday video contest.
They created a short video featuring dancing Christmas elves that was shot at the Mill Street Station. Oxford Paramedic Pedro Garcia says they were honoured to win the contest.
"We are thrilled to add another AED to the community because we know that they are extremely beneficial to the community, we know for a fact that every minute that an AED isn't being used on a patient or CPR isn't being done, the chances of survival decrease by 7-12% per minute if not used."
AED's typically cost $2,000 and the life saving piece of equipment will be used in the community.
Oxford County competed against Grey County in the contest and won because of their social media presence.
