No word if 22 job cuts at the London District Catholic School Board will impact Woodstock.
LONDON -- Declining Enrolment and a two million dollar budget shortfall are to blame for 22 job cuts at the London District Catholic School Board.
Over the past five years, the board has experienced a 14 percent enrolment decline.
At a special public input meeting Monday, the board outlined a plan to go from 36 elementary school librarians to 29. While they say none of their 45 schools will be without a librarian, the hours at each school would be reduced.
Other positions being eliminated include tech support, maintenance and clerical workers.
While several spoke out against the cuts, the board said they had been dipping into reserve funds previously to avoid the cuts.
No word if the cuts will come to those working in Woodstock.
