WOODSTOCK - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford and Woodstock Police are combining forces this week for the Kids n Kops Day Camp.
Executive Director Kristen Ralph says it is a really fun week for their little's.
"The week is completely planned by the Woodstock Police, the kids get to go on tours of places like the Woodstock Police Station, Paramedics, the Fire Station, they get to go to Clovermead and the Police College and it is a really fun week for the kids."
Ralph says the point of the camp is to provide the kids a positive outlook on Police in our community.
"So they know that the police are somebody they can go to if they are in trouble or if they need assistance. So it just gives them a Friendly face to know when they are out in the community and see our Woodstock Police Officers and continues to get that positive feeling for Police out to our young people."
The camp has been running for over 10 years. They have 10 little's participating this week and they also get to do fun activities like bowling and golf just to name a few. Ralph says the Community has been great, they often get discounts on the events and if you watch them on social media you can see that the lunches are sponsored by different businesses in our community every day.
