Oxford OPP were kept busy with several break, enter and thefts as well as an assault

OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford OPP were kept busy over the past three days.

Just before 11am Boxing Day officials were called to a disturbance in the underground parking at the Town Centre Mall in Tillsonburg.

OPP were told a fight had taken place before they got there. Descriptions of the three males involved were given to police along with information that one of the suspects may be carrying a knife. Police located the suspect on a bicycle at Simcoe Street and Tillson Avenue. When officers stepped out of the cruiser to approach the suspect, the male got off the bicycle and rammed it into the leg of one of the officers. A brief struggle ensued and the male was arrested. The officer received minor injuries

37 year old Kevin Jaroszewski of South West Oxford Township has been charged with: Assault a Peace Officer , Resist a Peace Officer and Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose.

Then on Saturday, OPP were called to a break, enter and theft on Greenly Line in Norwich Township. Authorities say sometime between 1 and 2 that morning suspects entered an unlocked garage and took a tool box and then entered two unlocked vehicles in the driveway and removed items including a neon yellow and black duffle bag, various hand tools and a small amount of money.

Later that same day, officers were called to a break, enter and theft at Hillside Kennels in Blandford Blenheim. Officers say sometime between 2:30pm Boxing Day and 9am the following day, suspects pryed open the main door to the locked business. Once inside a Sony Vaio laptop, a Brother copier, and a small amount of cash taken. A 2009 Ford F150 pickup truck, dark green in colour was also stolen from the business and recovered on Middletown Line in Norwich Township, shortly after noon on Saturday. The vehicle had been completely destroyed by fire.

Then on Sunday, OPP responded to a mischief call at a home on Tidey Street in Norwich. OPP say unknown suspects smashed the garage windows at the residence. Homeowners heard noises between 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. and believe that is when the mischief may have occurred.

Anyone with information on these crimes is asked to come forward.
