Political veteran Kenn Howling wants to return to council after a four year break.
Blandford-Blenheim has their first council nomination.
No stranger to municipal politics, Bright resident Kenn Howling has decided to give council another go.
"I was first elected in 1978. I have probably sat on 8 different councils. I have been council, I have been deputy mayor, I have been the mayor and it's the kind of thing where if you want something done, the best is to get it done yourself."
Howling says there are many reasons he is right for the job including being born in the township and living there his entire life.
"Knowing the township with the experience on council, I feel I can bring as much to the value of operating the township as anyone else can."
Howling says there are several issues facing the municipality.
"I'd like to see the road paving program brought back. There are some bridges that are closed that make it very inconvenient for the farm people and those that want to get to work that have to go around a detour. Princeton still hanging fire in so far as the wastewater system is concerned."
