The Town of Ingersoll received a five page spread in Business View magazine's December issue.
INGERSOLL - The Town of Ingersoll has been featured in Business View magazine.
According to their website, Business View has more than 400 thousand subscribers across Canada and the United States and is viewed by some of the most influential business leaders driving the economy.
Engineer Sandra Lawson says the town was approached by the magazine early last year and gave them some information on the projects taking place in the Town.
"They selected a number of municipalities across Canada and we weren't in the first selection but they came back -- they were doing a follow up article -- they got such a great response to the first one that now they are doing about one every issue. We were the first issue of the second round."
Director of Economic Development for the Town of Ingersoll, Kale Brown says the article shines the light on some of the difficult projects the town is undertaking to update their infrastructure.
Brown says for a small town to get this kind of exposure in a magazine is pretty rare. "It just shows the progressive nature in some of the decisions we are taking here as Council directs us to update our services. If I'm honest, we don't get many chances in a national magazine and to be demonstrated as a community that is leading with the task it is undertaking -- it's a great salute to the engineering department and the rest of the decisions council are making about our services here."
Brown says this is also a great opportunity to show residents just how difficult some of the projects the town has undertaken have been.
