The Ingersoll Habitat for Humanity build is going well and they hope to have it closed in before the snow flies.
INGERSOLL - Things are really starting to come along for the Ingersoll Habitat for Humanity build.
CEO for Habitat for Humanity Heartland Jeff Duncan tells Heart FM the home is going to the Sweeney family who is actually from Thamesford.
"They have a child with muscle dystrophy and some other challenges in the family and they work really hard; Craig works a job and a half basically to provide for the family and they had some needs for education for the children and their needs were better met in Ingersoll, so they wanted to move there. It's a good hub for them there with their services and so on. I tell you it's one of the families, I mean they are all great families, they have been really, really involved in the process, even helping with the fundraising and it has been a great experience for them."
Duncan says the foundation has started and now they are in a race against the weather.
"We are working hard to get it closed in and windows in and a roof on before the snow starts to fall. It has been tremendous; the crew working in Ingersoll has done an amazing job getting everything together with the build and with the fundraising, just like they did in Woodstock."
They are hoping to hand over the keys to the Sweeneys in the Spring.
