It was a good fundraiser for Ingamo Homes. Over $15,000 was raised from their curling bonspiel that was held on Friday, December 1st.
WOODSTOCK - It was a day filled with Curling and raising money.
Ingamo Homes hosted a Bonspiel on Friday, December 1st as a fundraiser for their programs.
Executive Director, Diane Harris says how much was raised at the event.
"We're very excited to announce that we have raised over $15,000, I think it was $15,409 to be exact."
Harris adds the majority of the money will be put towards transportation for children and women that need to get to appointments, but other programs will see some funding through this fundraiser as well.
She also says the event would have never happened if it wasn't for everyone who helped out.
"I just want to thank everyone who came out and supported us. Whether they came and actually played in the event, or whether they just came and stopped by and maybe had a bowl of chili, and spent money on the raffle."
Money was raised through sponsorship, raffle tickets, and silent auction.
