In And Out of the Cold Prepares For Another Season

The In and Out of the Cold Shelter offers a warm bed and a hot meal to those who need it during the chilly winter months.

WOODSTOCK - Operation Sharing's In and Out of the Cold shelter starts on November 18th. 

Anyone can visit the Old St. Paul's Anglican Church after 7 p.m. for a warm meal and bed to sleep in for the night. Coordinator Paul Arsenault tells Heart FM people use the shelter every night in the winter. 

"Our capacity is 22 people, very busy 17 people but on average, we average about 7 and those numbers are down over last year but that's a good thing." 

"Our shelter caters to men and women and children over the age of 16," Arsenault says." We get a lot of people with mental health issues as well as people who just aren't able to find accommodations, we even have the working poor who come and stay with us. Everyone gets a meal when they come in at night and we have coffee ready and waiting for them when they come in. Our meals are catered by restaurants; we have Kelsey's, Montana's, Boston Pizza, Swiss Chalet, Time to Chill and we have individuals who also bring in food and we also prepare food at the shelter."
