A 58-year-old from Woodstock is facing impaired driving charges after they hit a parked vehicle on Upper Thames Drive Saturday night.
WOODSTOCK - Charges have been laid after an impaired driver hit a parked vehicle on Upper Thames Drive in Woodstock.
The crash happened close to Woodsworth Terrace at around 7:40 p.m. on Saturday.
Police say the driver tried to drive away, but their vehicle was too damaged to do so. They decided to flee on foot instead and officers were able to locate them in a nearby home.
The 58-year-old from Woodstock has been charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs, operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80, and failure to stop after an accident.
