Remains recovered this week from a burned down home in rural Blandford-Blenheim are, as feared, the homeowners. OPP say 69-year-old Ronald Gingerich, and his 68-year-old wife Lois Gingerich have been positively identified as the deceased. They died in a fire Monday morning on Township Road 12, in a century-old home. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Ontario Fire Marshall's Office, but despite the presence of Criminal Investigators on the case, police are indicating the incident is isolated.
