OPP lay more than 14,000 charges over the long holiday weekend
OPP members across the province issued more than 14-thousand traffic and marine charges over the long holiday weekend.
In a tweet, OPP call the findings highly disturbing, noting those findings included 318 impaired drivers, a huge number of speeding drivers and a lack of mandatory safety gear being used by many boaters.
Police reported 8,287 speeding charges, 31 stunt driving charges and 876 seat belt infractions across Ontario.
They're encouraging people to be safe this summer.
