Your old coats can be put to good use and help out some needy families in Ingersoll.
INGERSOLL - The Kiwanis Club of Ingersoll is collecting winter clothing to hand out to the less fortunate.
Sam Horton says the Coats can be dropped off at a number of locations in Town.
"Over at the Fusion Youth Centre, Rietta's Decor and Design, Giant Tiger, the Trinity United Church itself and Young's Pharmacy."
A group of volunteers will help to distribute all of the winter clothing that is donated to local families in need.
"We have a group of ladies over at the Trinity United Church that go by the Ingersoll Grannies, they assist us in attaining some of these jackets and distributing them out to the public."
They are looking for coats in all sizes from infants to adults. Horton says last year they handed out 500 items and they expect to do the same if not more this year.
They are operating at the Trinity United Church on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 1-7 pm and on Saturday from 9 am to 1 p.m.
