The remnants of Hurricane Patricia are making their way into our area over the next couple of days.
There is a special weather statement for Woodstock, Oxford County, and the County of Brant.
A low pressure area left over from hurricane Patricia is making its move northwards. Because of this system we're expecting a fairly strong storm as it reaches the Great Lakes, and we could see a large amount of rain and strong winds for the next couple of days.
The beginning of the storm is expected to reach Southwestern Ontario tonight and then the rain will continue into Wednesday. Environment Canada is estimating we could see somewhere between 25 to 40 millimetres of rain in most areas.
We're also expecting strong winds for the next two days, in some areas winds could reach 70 km/h to 90 km/h. These winds could cause some tree damage and power outages, especially in areas where trees still have leaves.
The system should be moving out of Ontario on Wednesday and move toward Quebec.
We'll keep you updated as this storm moves our way.
