An investigation is underway after someone stole the keys to five pieces of heavy machinery in Woodstock.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Police Service is investigating the theft of keys.
The keys are for five CAT (Caterpillar) machines and one Kabota machine, and the incidents are believed to have taken place between 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 20th, and 6:00 a.m. on Monday January 22nd.
Police are reminding owners to take extra precautions when it comes to making sure their equipment is safe.
For example, making sure the premises is secured, reviewing surveillance footage, conducting inventory checks, storing keys in a locked space, and reporting any suspicious activity or theft-related information to police.
